Dairy Queen's Christmas Dilly Bars

Dairy Queen, or DQ in short, is one of my favorite ice cream stores in the Metro. They offer a variety of ice cream treats from ice cream in cone, dipped cones, ice cream bar covered in chocolate, ice cream sandwiches, blizzard, among others.

This holiday season, Dairy Queen rolled out its Christmas Dilly Bars shaped like a Christmas tree, coated with chocolate, and with peppermint designed on it. For only Php 39, surely, you will enjoy this great addition to Dairy Queen's ice cream line up.

Taste the great combination of DQ soft serve ice cream dipped with luscious chocolate coating drizzled with mint chocolate. :)

Sebastian's Limited Edition Frozen Yakult (Fro-Ya)

Sebastian's released a Limited Edition, until supplies last, Frozen Yakult or Fro-Ya, as they coined it, the other day. Riding on with the Fro-Yo (Frozen Yogurt) craze among Filipinos, and introducing a twist to it, is really brilliant of this ice cream parlor.

Yakult, a Japanese probiotic milk-like product made by fermenting a mixture of skimmed milk with a special strain of the bacterium Lactobacillus casei Shirota, is a popular drink ever since I was a kid. It brings back memories when you eat the Fro-Ya.

An alternative, and my personal favorite in Sebastian's is their Choco-Chip Cookie Dough. The photo on the right is their Chocoholics Anonymous, or their super chocolate treat for choco-lovers :)

Yummy Korean Ice Cream

IMG_5020

We saw this Korean "refreshing premium ice cream" with Espresso and Berrymix as its flavors, selling at Php 50 a pack. We tried it, and we liked it very much. I'm sure everyone will enjoy this truly refreshing and yummy treat. The problem however is where you'll find this ice cream. I guess with Korean sari-sari stores sprouting here and there, it wouldn't be much of problem looking for it. Would you know?

Gold Delight's Banana Crunch

Ice Cream's one of my comfort food. As I have blogged about before, I like anything with nuts. One of my favorites, in fact, is the Selecta's Vanilla Almond Ice Cream, among others like the famous Coffee Crumble, Rocky Road, and a lot more.

IMG_4013

The other day, on my way home, I passed by the Ice Cream House outside our village to buy myself a pint of Gold Delight's Banana Crunch, banana ice cream with chocolate coated peanuts. I tell you, it tastes like real banana, and the nuts come in generous serving. It was a perfect dessert to seal the night.

Starbucks Top Pot Doughnuts arrives today

IMG_3649

Starbucks Top Pot Doughnuts arrives today in your favorite Starbucks branches nationwide. I suggest you try the Top Pot hand made Apple Fritter doughnuts. If you can, you can take them out and put ice cream on top and eat it together. I placed Strawberry ice cream on top of my doughnut, and it makes one heavenly dessert. Enjoy your doughnuts :)

Vanilla Almond Ice Cream from Selecta Gold Series

Selecta has done a great job once again, with its new Gold Series: Vanilla Almond by one of the country's most awarded culinary expert, Chef Ariel Manuel of Lolo Dad's Cafe.

This mouthwatering masterpiece is loaded with roasted almonds from California's Great Valley, lavished generously with ribbons of golden caramel fudge and laced against a backdrop of extra creamy, velvety vanilla ice cream. This is what it's like to be in dessert heaven. :)

Bigby's Titanic Treat - a dessert of the gods

DSCN5444

Among the hefty servings of Continental, Mediterranean, and Oriental dishes Bigby's Cafe and Restaurant serve, their Titanic Treat is a must, MUST try! It's 40 scoops of ice cream and toppings all over the place. This baby is the god of all desserts. Yes, be afraid. This enormous dessert is for those who are adventurous and who call themselves ultimate food lovers.

Owner Henrik Yu told us that if you'll order this with another person (meaning there's just 2 of you) and you guys finish it in 5 minutes, this Php 999 monstrous treat will be free of charge! Anyone up for the challenge? ^^

Bigby's started in Cagayan de Oro, and now, it has expanded to Metro Manila, in the newly opened Atrium in SM Megamall
