RunnerSpeak Launches on QTV Today!

The first and only running channel in the Philippines that will cater to the growing number of running enthusiasts in the country is now here! It will bring the latest fitness trends, training regimens, diet tips, and food supplements for running enthusiasts, like me. Also, it will feature running events and profiles of celebrities and elite runners.

RunnerSpeak

In short, this show will show you all the ins and outs of running, from being a beginner to being an expert at it, from how, where, when to run, to why run at all. I'm sure all your questions will be answered. It will have segments that will tackle race routes, living healthy, runner's training regimen, losing weight, spot interviews during running events, running ABCs, products that runners use, bloggers segment, and a lot more.

Manny Paksiw and Joanne Ignacio

The show will be hosted by Joanne Ignacio, cum laude graduate of Broadcast Communications in UP Diliman, who is also a competitive runner, yoga and aerobics instructor and seasoned event and TV host. She'll be joined by Johnny Pogoy Dagami Jr, or more commonly known as Manny Paksiw, an up-and-coming comedian, spoofing and imitating world-renowned boxer Manny Pacquiao.

runnerSpeak will be aired Sundays 2:45-3:15pm on QTV-11 starting today.

Upcoming Runs!

I recently ran 5k in the Men's Health Miracle Run. It was my first ever, and I am really glad I did it. Now, I have been training diligently, and it will continue until before the Nike+ Human Race 10k Run. This is one of the instances that I've really committed myself in doing something like this. I am actually happy to be doing this. Thanks to Achi Michelle and Best Bud, now running mate (na rin) Tiffy, I think I'm hooked t0 running.

Earlier, I ran the academic oval with Yao. While we were running, I saw Coach Rio with Karen Davila and Anthony Pangilinan (Brother of Senator Kiko); they were also running. And so after I ran and went back to NCPAG for my class, I texted Karen -- and then she called me. We talked for a while. Unfortunately, she isn't gunning for the Nike 10k, I hope she goes to the other upcoming runs.

*I still have to get myself a Nike+ Sportband to be able to participate in the Nike+ Run. Boo! I hope I can buy this weekend.

These are the upcoming runs -- I really really hope you guys could come join us! :D

Miracle Run

Admit it... you run either to stay fit or to win. Now, it's time to put your money where your foot is... This August, make a difference... lace up your running shoes and be counted. Tiffy and I are going to face the challenge; the question is, ARE YOU UP FOR IT?

The Men's Health 10,000km Miracle Run
is a unique event that will gather all sorts of runners—those who run to compete or simply those who want to push their limits. This time, they're all running for those who can't.

Be part of this unique running event where finishing first or last doesn't matter at all.

Be one of more than 1,000 runners who will run a 10km. course (OR a cumulative total distance of 10,000 km.) for the benefit of those who can't.

Now you won't just be cheering for the first ones to finish!

What's at stake?
There are no losers in this event. Everyone who signs up is already a winner. For every finisher, Men's Health will donate P200 to GMA Kapuso Foundation, Inc. If all runners finish the course, the event will donate a minimum of P200,000!
