Despicable Me showing in the Philippines starting September 1

I can't wait for Despicable Me to show here in the Philippines. I've been waiting for months for this movie. I'm sure its cuteness won't disappoint. Hehe. So, yeah, I just wanted to share this trailer, and now, I'll go back to waiting PATIENTLY for the film. Advanced screening is on Aug 29, and it will be out in the cinemas on September 1. :) Toodles!

The Bar Vodka launches new website

Launch Flyer- FrontLaunch Flyer- Backwebsite3

Last week, we were invited to the launch of The Bar's website. It was held at The Manor Superclub in Eastwood City. Party was great. Free bottle refill all night long of The Bar. One thing I have to say: You can't go wrong with what's always open, The Bar! :)

Uncle Cheffy at Eastwood City

After trying the Bungee Fun in Eastwood City Walk, we headed out to Uncle Cheffy in the new Eastwood City Mall for dinner. It was my first time to dine there, and I must say it was something worth trying and repeating. :)

Thanks to Eastwood City Mall, a group of bloggers, including myself, was able to try Uncle Cheffy, one of three restaurants of the Chef Quarters restaurant chain. What struck me is the concept of "brick oven global cuisine," using traditional slow cooking process to create yummy dishes that burst out flavors.

For starters, we were served two kinds of Salads namely the Prawn/Pomelo Salad (Php 295/495) and the Uncle Cheffy Salad which consists of crispy pork, asparagus, potatoes and mesclun in dijonaise dressing (Php 230/495). The Uncle Cheffy Salad instantly became my favorite because it has everything in it, and it tastes unique and yummy.

After the salad, we were served the Memphis Barbecue US Beef Rib Finger (1000g) (Php 595) and the Thai Style Fried Pla-pla. The beef was so tender, it almost melts in your mouth. The pla-pla was fresh, but didn't really have that much flavors going on.

For the main attraction, Uncle Cheffy is known for its Panizza. They've let us tried the All Meat Panizza (Php 450), East Meets West Panizza (Php 495), Uncle Cheffy Favorites Panizza (Php 395) and the Seafood Lovers Panizza (Php 425). I love everything! :) It's like the Yellow Cab Dear Darla pizza, where you include some greens and tomatoes on top of your pizza, you roll it, then eat it; but this is much more tastier and less fatty-feeling.

After we were stuffed full, then came the desserts. They're equally tasty and unique. Sweet Potato Creme Brulee (Php 95), Chocolate Roulade (Php 135), Chocolate Parfait (Php 95), Panacotta with Ube Vichysoisse (Php 110). I got Sangria (alcoholic, with wine) for my drink. The gastronomic experience was superb. Thank you.
