Taters delivers using Quick Delivery

What to do with 300 pesos, and a very boring afternoon in the office? Order food! :))) I recently discovered that Taters delivers using Quick Delivery. This was another opportunity for me to use Quick Delivery, and have good food delivered right to my office, so I immediately dialed 2121212, and ordered from them. :)



I am a big fan of Tater's popcorn, specifically their five fingers (5 flavors in one bag). I was craving for that so I got a big bag (Big Time - 140g) of their Flavored Super Pop (Php 95). The five flavors mixed in one bag include nacho cheese, sour cream and chives, texan barbecue, wasabi and white cheddar. Believe me, it's so yummy! You can opt to have it with additional melted butter, but since I am asking them to deliver it to me, I opted not to add that.



Another bestseller which I got was the Flavor-Coated Tater Chips. I had Sour Cream n' Chives, since they said it was their bestselling flavor for this treat. It's priced at Php 105 for the Big Time (140g).



Lastly, since I had more or less a hundred more, I had another bestseller, their Flavor-Coated Cornachos (Nacho Cheese - their bestselling flavor), also Big-Time (80g) at Php 70.

Va Bene Pasta Deli using Quick Delivery

There’s a good pasta place in Dasmarinas, Makati, and it’s called Va Bene Pasta Deli. It’s a new addition to the growing number of restaurants offering take out through Quick Delivery 2121212 service. I decided to try the place out, and fortunately for me it didn’t disappoint.

Since it was in Makati and my office is in Manila, it took them 90 minutes to deliver my order, which for me, was not a big deal that day because I was not hurrying with my food. I ordered 2 kinds of pasta, and a watermelon shake.

The pastas were great! The watermelon shake, as expected became a juice, but it was yummy nonetheless.



One of their bestsellers, the Chicken Cannelloni – Filled with chicken, tomato, béchamel sauce and mozzarella cheese.



Tagliolini All Uovo Boscaiola – Portobello mushrooms and cream sauce with a touch of truffle oil. This is if my favorite. The mix of the mushrooms, the cream sauce and a hint of the truffle oil was heavenly.



Watermelon Shake - The watermelon shake was fresh, though it arrived as juice already. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the drink.



I asked my coworkers to try the pasta to get their feel on the taste of the food. They both liked it, though each one had their preferred pasta. I would love to try out and dine in Va Bene Pasta Deli one of these days.

Flapjack's through Quick Delivery

Last week I tried ordering again through Quick Delivery. This time, the restaurant was Flapjacks. Flapjacks is an American all day breakfast place by the Bistro Group of Restaurant Concepts, a collection of international hospitality brands, in the Philippines.



It was nearer to my office, as they are located at Robinsons Place Manila. I dialed through their 2121212 delivery hotline, and placed an order by 10:42am, specifically telling them to deliver my order by 12:00nn. Thankfully, they did arrive around that time, 12:04pm.

Choosing what to order, especially with a menu with a lot of good choices on it, is really hard for me. Good thing, when using the Quick Delivery service, you can ask the customer service agent of the bestsellers of the restaurant you are ordering from. I did, and so, I got Country Fried Chicken Breast, Chicken Stuffed Parmagiana and the Original Hash Brown burger for lunch. I invited my friends to join me.



FlapJacks Food Order

2 pcs. Country Fried Chicken Breast (P355.00) - Crispy, golden fried chicken breast served with creamy gravy, herb rice and French fries.



Chicken Stuffed Parmagiana (P285.00) - Tender chicken breast, stuffed with fresh cheddar cheese, breaded then fried, topped on a bed of linguine pasta and marinara sauce



The Original Hash Brown (P355.00) - US Angus beef patty with fresh tomatoes and lettuce, topped with hash brown and American cheese



I find the food and the quality to be good. Although of course it’s not the same as when you are ordering it in the restaurant, the quality and taste of the food is comparable. Personally, I like the Original Hash Brown burger. It’s big, tasty and really filling. The idea of putting hash brown with the beef patty worked well for me.

Café Xocolat with Quick Delivery service

Café Xocolat, or Xocolat to many, is a café restaurant, which seeks to pave the way for hot chocolate to be enjoyed by Xocoholics “in all its glorious forms and flavors.” It prides itself for its hot chocolate drinks, and chocolate inspired dishes. Its 3 branches are located in Loyola Heights Quezon City, Promenade Greenhills San Juan and Center Courtyard Eastwood.

Recently, I tried Quick Delivery’s we deliver “Two Any One” delivery service to order lunch. They promise to deliver the “best-of-the-best food and drink choices, fresh and tasty food from any of our restaurants at the time we say it will arrive, from 10:00AM to 10:00PM (Mon-Thurs) and 10:00AM to 10:30PM (Fri-Sun), within Metro Manila area.” With that, I decided to try it, and get my lunch from the home of one of the best hot chocolate in Manila, Xocolat.

Delivery Service

I dialed “2121212,” and was greeted by a cheerful customer service agent of QD. I placed my order at exactly 10:15 AM, expecting that it arrive by lunch, considering my area (TM Kalaw, Manila) is outside the delivery service area* of Xocolat. At first, my order was supposed to come from Greenhills, but it was later transferred to Loyola Heights Quezon City because the food I ordered weren’t available in San Juan.

Unfortunately, after a few minutes, the customer service agent called me on my mobile phone, and apologized because Xocolat will still open at 11:00 AM, and my order would not be processed until then. I said it was okay. They assured me that my order would arrive anytime from 12:30pm to 1:00pm.

At around 12:30pm, I called the customer service agent using my mobile phone. They assured me that they would contact me once they reach the rider/driver. My order was transferred to another rider in Makati. My order arrived 1:22pm, and the rider was apologizing for the delay. I guess they still have to master time management in the orders so that it will surely arrive on time.

Xocolat Food Order

I asked the Quick Delivery customer service agent what are the bestsellers of Xocolat. She gave a list of food items, and I picked those I wanted to try. Since I wanted to treat my 2 friends for lunch, I ordered food good for 3. The food that I got were:


Spiced Xocolat Chicken with rice and potato gratin (Php 195)

Pork Belly with Cacao-bagoong sauce (Php 185)

Xocolat Chicken Pasta (Php 175)

Flourless Xocolat Cake (Php 125/ slice)

It was my second time to try out Xocolat, and this time around fell short of my high expectations. The first time was great because I got to try out their signature hot chocolate drinks. Don’t’ get me wrong. We enjoyed their food this time, especially the cakes, but we found that the main course can still be improved.

The Xocolat Chicken Pasta was the main star of the course. The Spiced Xocolat Chicken with rice and potato gratin was second, and the Pork Belly with Cacao-bagoong sauce fell to the third slot because of its safe and very common taste. I guess one thing that affected our experience was maybe because we had a poor choice of food delivered.


The total bill was Php 929.75 (Php 775 for the food + Php 85 for the charge for service outside delivery area of the restaurant + Php 69.75 for the 9% additional charge on the food ordered.)

It was my first time using Quick Delivery and I still think it’s an innovative and great way to enjoy your favorite food items anywhere you are in the Metro. I will have to try it out again very soon, and assess better if I have a second experience to compare it to.

*If your area is outside the delivery area, you have to pay an extra Php 85.
