Marriott Hotel's Sunday Brunch Buffet

"We've expanded our menu, and widened your smiles," carries the new advertisement of Marriott Hotel's Marriott Cafe Sunday Brunch buffet. Last Sunday, some bloggers, including myself, were treated to the Sunday Brunch buffet of Marriott Cafe. It wasn't my first time to try Marriott Cafe's buffet selection, so I was expecting to see some new stations and inclusions to the brunch buffet. I wasn't disappointed.

Marriott Cafe's executive chef Meik Bremmer, who is the mastermind of the bigger, better, and heavier selections for brunch, welcomed and thanked everyone who came. This signaled to start attacking the buffet, and to start feeding our hungry tummies.

My first plate. Greens with bacon, croutons and Parmesan in blue cheese dressing. Parma ham, Salami and Coppa ham. I also got salmon.

Shells and Seafood. They have lobsters, crabs, oysters, mussels, shells, prawns, blue crabs. Yummy! I abstained, because I had my eyes on something else.

They have lechon, or suckling pig. But still, nothing beats lechon from Cebu, or Davao. They also have lamb chops, steak, and all kinds of meat.

But wait, there's more! Everyone will be excited to know that Cru Steakhouse, their fine-dining wing, selections are also included in the Sunday Brunch Buffet. You can now enjoy their Australian Angus beef rib eye, strip loin steak, grilled tiger prawns, foie gras, grilled calamari, lapu-lapu, among others.

Another unique station in the buffet is what they call Antonio's, which is the pasta bar leveled-up in taste and quality. They offer hand-filled pumpkin tortellinis, spinach gnocchi, salmon ravioli, which you can certainly customize how it tastes. The pasta's cooked right in front of you. You can tell the chef how you like your own pasta. I chose to try the Salmon Ravioli, pesto sauce, with mushrooms, bacon, chili and some cheese.

Last, but definitely not the least: Marriott presents the Chocolate Room, with a wide selection of heavenly and most luxurious chocolate spread one can ever imagine. Imagine Belgian Chocolates in almost everything you can imagine: cakes, cookies, fruits, truffles, chocolate bars. Oh, I almost forgot, Chocolate Chef too. Yes, their chief who is covered in chocolate will gladly greet you upon entering their Chocolate Room. Can I just shout: "Chocolate overload!" :))
